The Experience
We are renovating a beautiful, old house in the center of a small town. In the back of the property we have a big garden, which we plan to turn into a permaculture oriented garden. We are looking for volunteers who are either carpenters or electricians and can help and train our local team and/or experienced gardeners who can convert our garden into a permaculture haven.

We had an amazing time in Ançã, Portugal! During our stay here, we really grew to love this little town. All of the locals are incredibly kind and welcoming. Niels and his family are also very kind and accommodating. The work was fairly easy and straightforward, and we had plenty of free time to explore the area and nearby towns. I would highly recommend this experience! Feel free to message me with any questions!

It was a great experience in this quiet rural environment. Niels is a very kind and helpful person. I felt welcome from the first moment. He was very easy to deal with and the tasks were enjoyable, especially the gardening, where I learned agricultural and irrigation skills. All the people were friendly, especially Niels' family, the workers and the volunteers. We worked as a team together and all the experiences were positive. Thank you Niels for your generosity and for all the help you provided. I highly recommend volunteering here.

La verdad fue una muy linda experiencia, aprendimos de jardinería y construcción, nos gustó mucho poder colaborar y ser parte. El lugar es súper cómodo y tranquilo, una habitación, cocina, baño, jardines amplios para pasar la estadía. Nicolás, Lily, Gabriel y Rudy son excelentes personas muy amables y siempre predispuestos a enseñar y brindar sus conocimientos.

Excelente decisión haber postulado para este voluntariado. Nicolas es un anfitrión super amable, respetuoso y carismático. Su familia es hermosa. Se han respetado siempre los horarios y las tareas pactadas, incluso Nicolas ha estado pendiente y consultando si estábamos bien haciéndolas. Hemos pasado días de descanso en su bello jardín, escuchando el ruido de la naturaleza y caminando por el pueblo, pudimos visitar Lisboa que está a pocas horas. Nos brindó un ambiente acogedor, limpio y con instalaciones nuevas. Sin dudas volveríamos!!. Gracias Rudy también por ser un buen compañero.
