The Experience
We are excited to announce a volunteer opportunity at our Hostel! We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team and assist with cleaning, night shift duties, and reception tasks. We are a committed team who loves harmony, beach life, active lifestyles, and a sense of family. We value helping each other out, being proactive, and creativity. Any activity that can help the hostel is welcome :)

I am very satisfied with this experience: immersed in a stunning location overlooking the hostel, the hostel provided a welcoming atmosphere, as did all the people I worked with. The tasks, which matched the description, were simple but still challenging. From this experience, I not only learned new things but also met local people, enriched my personal growth, learning some Portuguese and had the chance to explore the breathtaking landscapes of the Algarve. A big thank you to Thais for the warmth and hospitality shown to me and my friend, with whom I shared this incredible experience 😊

I had an amazing experience volunteering at this facility, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a meaningful and rewarding opportunity. The environment is welcoming, and the work truly makes a difference. Thais was incredibly kind and always available, doing everything she could to accommodate any type of request or need. Her dedication and supportive attitude made my time there even more enjoyable and productive. I'm grateful for this experience and encourage others to get involved as well

The housekeeping and front desk team were kind and supportive, but overall the experience was disappointing. The workload is heavy for what's offered: only accommodation, in a cramped room for four, with no real space and a really small fan - which makes it especially uncomfortable during the summer heat. Management was mostly absent and not attentive to volunteers' needs. There was no proper orientation, and we had to deal with guest issues beyond our role. With better organization and conditions, this could be a much more rewarding experience.

My experience at the hostel was short and disappointing. The structure is basic but still okay, with strengths such as its location near the beach and the nice rooftop. However, the accommodation for volunteers was inadequate: a tiny room for four people, with no air conditioning and only a fan. I also had to share the room with much older people, which I wasn't informed about in advance, something I would have appreciated knowing. After three days (two of which were days off), I decided to leave. Upon departure, I was asked to pay €20, which I refused, as the situation wasn't as I was told.
