Camilla is an absolute amazing person! We had a virtual meeting before our stay where we discussed our strengths and what we can offer. On the first evening we then sat down and discussed what specific tasks could be done during our ~10 days. We were allowed to use everything in the kitchen and the house was in good order. You will be stuck on the island due to the tides - a great learning experience on how this can affect life!

We stayed with Camila and her friend Pilar for 10 days and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Before arrival, we had a video chat with Camila and talked about tasks, our strengths and what we wanted to learn or do - all worked great! The kitchen and everything in it were free of use for us. We had a private room and shared the bathroom with Pilar. The house is on an island close to Chonchi - a beautiful town with amazing restaurants (lots of vegan options) and people. In our free time, we could use Camilla's kayaks. Whenever possible, they offered us a ride to the town or next bus stop.

Me and my girlfriend have been traveling for almost three months and this was our favorite place and experience we've had yet! Camila really felt like a mom to us and brought us in like her kids. We sat down the first day and discussed expectations, rules, and work and everything we agreed on, went as planned. Her island and houses were magical and everything really felt like home! There were canoes at our disposal and it was amazing taking them out at sunset and when it was calm. She has three dogs and a cat and they were all very sweet as well. Couldn't recommend this experience enough!

I am so grateful for my experience here. Not only was I surrounded by breathtaking nature and a beautiful home, but I was also welcomed so lovingly by Camila. She is such a special person who I am happy to have gotten to know. She is very respectful about the work hours and tasks, and is very communicative about everything. The island itself is magical. If you are trying to explore all around Chiloé, keep in mind that the tide does close off the property for a few hours every day. I didn't mind this because I never wanted to leave such a beautiful place. I definitely recommend staying here!

In her defense, this was her first experience as a host. However, she was not flexible at all with the hours or the food. She demands A LOT but is not willing to give you the necessary tools, time or food to complete the tasks that she asks. For her friends or airbnb hosts she is generous but with us she was very stingy. Her words are pleasant but her behavior and attitude leave a lot to be desired. The land and house are beautiful but they are isolated from the (5km from the bus stop) and you have to depend on the tide in order to move around aka you will be stuck there half the day
