The hostel became so much more than just a place to stay. It truly became my second home. During this month, I lived one of the best experiences of my life. I met amazing people who became real friends and I'll carry them in my heart forever. I'll always be deeply grateful to the owners Chinola and Ronald for welcoming me with so much respect, love, and support every single day. Leaving Las Terrenas is hard, but I know a part of me will always stay here. This place and its people will forever be in my most beautiful memories. Thank you for everything, the hostel! This was my first ever time doing a volunteer program and this was genuinely an exceptional start! Chinola & Ronald really make the hostel feel like you are living at home away from home. The environment is very relaxing and not stressful. Las Terrenas is also such a beautiful and homey town tucked away in Samana. The central location of the hostel also allows it to be very easy to walk to nearby stores and restaurants. All in all 10/10 experience! Please check them out!

From the time I arrived, Chinola worked to make me feel welcomed. It was clear that she cared about my experience beyond what I contributed as a volunteer. I loved getting to know the other volunteers and the whole the hostel crew. At the hostel it was easy to find friends to spend time with and go out with. The working schedule was clearly communicated and followed. If there was something we really wanted to do that interfered with our assigned shifts, we could talk to Chinola and the other volunteers in order to do so. I spent a month there but wish I could have extended my visit for longer x

Disfruté muchísimo mi estadía en el hostel. Fue una experiencia enriquecedora en muchos niveles, aprendí de las personas que conocí, descubrí nuevas partes de mí, conecté con estilos de vida diferentes junto a gente increíble y tuve la oportunidad de explorar más rincones de mi país.
