Well.. let me tell a short story and you make conclusions. I applied to volunteer in the lodge for a gardening, nature care position. and i spoke in advance to host. Only When i got on place (the host is 20km away from nearest statement) they asked me to do: waiter, kitchen hand and cleaner work.+ When there are large groups -there would be no time frames, "we have to serve them 24/7".they are so indifferent to volunteers, they didn't remember my name (Mike) and kept calling me Mark. when i asked to call me MY name -the respond was: "it doesn't really matter what's my name, i have to respond

La experiencia que vivimos en el alojamiento con mi novia fue sumamente negativa. NO cumplieron en absoluto con lo estipulado en las condiciones del voluntariado que aparecen en worldpackers; Las horas de trabajo requeridas son 30 a la semana con un día libre (promedio de 5 horas diarias) y en cambio desde el primer día estuvimos trabajando de 8 a 9 horas en la construcción de una cabaña y luego en los días que se recibieron huéspedes, hasta 12 horas diarias. En 14 días que estuvimos no tuvimos un solo día libre y recibimos un trato hostil de parte de la dueña. Pésima experiencia.

En el alojamiento tuve la oportunidad de compartir un mes maravilloso y aprender mucho con la gente del lugar. Siempre tuvieron una muy buena predisposición a enseñarme lo que no sabía o necesitaba, con mucho amor y cariño en todo. Martin y Elizabeth son gente súper amorosa con la que te encariñas rápidamente y que te hacen sentir en casa en el medio de la selva. Me llevo muchas experiencias, conocimientos y sabiduría y espero tener la oportunidad de volver. Gracias Eli, Martin, Anna, Giuli, Andy, Horacio, Jose, Sara, Nuria y a toda la gente que conocí que me llevo en el alma.

El alojamiento es un oasis espectacular y unico. Elizabeth, Martín, y el resto de la gente del alojamiento me resultaron personas encantadoras que traen alegría y entusiasmo al dia a dia, y los dias aquí estan repletos de risas, aprendizaje, maravillosos paisajes y muy buena comida! Sobre todo es admirable su causa, que trata de aumentar y profundizar la conciencia tanto de los voluntarios como del publico sobre la naturaleza que nos rodea. El trabajo diario varia bastante, y hay días donde se trabaja mas que otros, pero siempre con claridad de tareas, con buen rollito y sobre todo, con un por qué.
