The Experience

We are situated in a quiet area Ericeira, at 5 minutes from the beach (Walking) and several surf spots, with a fantastic atmosphere and excellent conditions to accommodate every person. Built on a concept in which all areas are shared (kitchen, living room, bathrooms, bathroom and outdoor space) and a self-service system, we get an inviting, relaxed and sharing space between all our guests.

I spent a wonderful month in Ericeira! The workload was super manageable, as the guesthouse isn't too big and you get a very fair amount of days off. The working hours were respected. The manager there is amazing and communicates problems well and respectfully. Apart from that, Ericeira offers not only opportunity to surf, but is also great if you want to go out. One last tip if you get to go here: Before you go, double check with Bruno if you're supposed to be in Ericeira or the other hostel in Baleal.

I had an opportunity to stay for one month at Baleal Guesthouse and the other two at the guest house. Baleal Guesthouse, Surf house and the guest house are awesome when it comes to socialising with the volunteers (it was a big team and felt like a true community!), surfing (couple of spots in walking distance) and enjoying the local vibes. the guest house is beautifully located (surf spot basically in front of the house), the vibes are more chill, the place is more quiet as there are less volunteers and guests in the house. The working hours were respected, it was all well-organised :) Thank you!

One of the best experiences I've ever had! If you like surfing, yoga, small charming towns and working with friendly people then this is your place. I had an amazing experience in Baleal! Everyone was so welcoming and kind. If you want to learn how to surf, this is the perfect spot. I highly recommend going there. I can't wait to go back!!!

It were 2 fantastic months, Bruno is really social and super friendly. If you have a problem or something you can always contact him and he will fix it. The manager Rhavy is super chill and friendly, the tasks are really easy. You have a lot of free time to enjoy the waves and the beauty of baleal. There is a big group of volunteers what makes it a small community it's really cool.
