Jo and Jeff welcomed me from the very first day. During every meal, they shared so many interesting stories and explained a lot about Irish history and culture. I even learned a little bit of Irish (Maidin mhaith). The sleeping arrangement in the caravan for my own was very cozy, and I felt really comfortable. The freshly cooked meals for lunch and dinner were amazing and delicious. It was no problem at all that I'm a vegetarian – Jo was very respectful of that. I learned new things about general farm work, like repairing fences, and I also got to spend time with the animals.

The Fowler's were truly some of the most welcoming people I have met. They were excited to share their home and stories with the volunteers as well as teaching us about the farm. Jo always made sure we were fed well and Geoff shared so much of his knowledge with us, anyone would be lucky to know them. The farm it self was gorgeous with amazing views and the animals were all lovely. I'm so very grateful to have had this experience.
