Klara, and her family made us feel like a part of the family. Spanish lessons helped me improve my listening skills, and the work; painting, weeding, coffee picking, etc. I enjoyed the diversity. I learned so much about coffee and organic farming that I didn't know before. For a first volunteer experience, I rate it high! Sharing meals and conversations with the other volunteers and the family was a highlight too. I recommend giving it a try, just don't forget bug spray and sunscreen! Also, there were two cute dogs and a beautiful goat. Solitude and nature, go for it:) ¿qué te pare amiga(o)?

This was my first volunteering experience and I had an amazing time at la the farm. Klara y Augustin were really welcoming. Workwise, Klara is very clear and flexible with each task, the work was very diverse which kept things really interesting, 2 weeks went past very quickly! We learnt a lot about coffee and how to build a wall. For the Spanish lessons, Klara is a very good teacher, has a lot of patience and adapts to your level! It was great to go back and review some grammar. Food was amazing, Klara even showed us how to make Colombian specialties such as patacones / arepas. 🤩❤️

Klara and Augustine are two wonderful, interesting and extremely knowledgeable people who I feel very grateful to have met. Not only is their property beautiful, but it is also so abundant and impressively diverse. I learned so much everyday, whether it be about coffee production, Spanish, building with natural materials, cooking, Colombian culture, or about the lives of Klara and Augustine or other travellers staying on the farm. I feel so delighted and glad to have had this experience. I wholeheartedly recommend a stay at the farm! <3

I loved my stay at the farm. For me it is one of the most beautiful places in this world. Klara and Augustin created a truly special place! I loved the work, even though it was sometimes hard and i took away some itchy bites ;) I loved the spanish lessons (not so much in the beginning, as i was an absolute beginner and very frustrated) klara was very patient with me and i feel i learned a lot in one week. Her food was great and a lot of it came from her garden. They really put in a lot of love and effort into this sacred little place and i will forever treasure it 😊

This was one of my most special travel experiences. I came to improve my Spanish, and not only did Klara and her family help me with that, but their lifestyle and the work I got to be part of also taught me a great deal about permaculture and the local culture. The food is healthy and delicious. I loved that I was encouraged to use my spanish as often as I could, and the learning was not limited to just the class time. Klara was flexible, reasonable, kind, and generous with her time and knowledge. The family is very welcoming and warm, and the space is gorgeous. I miss it and them already. :-)

My stay at the finca was a dream. If you're looking for escapism, a fun way to learn, beautiful Colombian views, a welcoming family and a sense of home then I couldn't recommend more highly of the farm's paradise. The mornings would usually consist of working in the coffee fields or with the beans. The afternoons we would have our two hours of Spanish lessons. A great bonus to have these lessons. Throughout the day delicious meals and drinks are provided, time for relaxing, and visiting the lovely town of Jericó. An incredibly wholesome experience that I can only wish for others.

I highly recommend anyone to volunteer at the farm. I really enjoyed my time here, the farm is lovely, you learn a lot about sustainability, permaculture and of course the Spanish was so helpful for me as a beginner and for higher levels too. Klara is a patient and very knowledgeable teacher. Her, Agustin, their son and the perritos make you feel very welcome. The work is enjoyable on the farm as you have a range of things to do from washing coffee beans, painting, gardening. They make such wholesome food too. Muchas gracias por todo!! And for taking care of me when I was sick.

Klara and Agustin are great people. They treated me like family. I spend two weeks working a couple hours on the farm and helping with other things that had to be done. The place and the whole area around is very beautiful and you can easily walk to town if you want to. Klara cooks delicious food and coffee. During the days I learned a lot and in the evening we always had good conversations and stories to tell each other. There are also two very nice dogs and one goat. I would recommend it and I also want to say thank you again to the family. I had a great time and I will miss you all.

The best volunteering experience that I've ever had. Klara and her family were amazing. The farm is beautiful and a great place to learn about coffee. Klara's spanish classes were extremely helpful and she helped me improve my spanish immensely. She is a great spanish teacher and I highly recommend staying here if you are trying to improve your spanish. The home cooked food was delicious as well as the coffee. Such a great experience!
