I learned so much at finca sagrada! We harvested yuca, learned to plaster and make fertilizer. The volunteer accommodation is beautiful and cozy and Klara and her family are super friendly.

I had a nice time in the farm! It is so interesting to see more about the farm process, also the working hours are very flexible. I got a bad cold and I were able to skip 1-2 days of work without a problem, thank you Klara! The spanish classes were a big plus, Rafa is such a good teacher. My time here really helped me to understand more about my privileges & my responsibilities. It gave me a lot of inspiration! You'll also meet other international volunteers and will make friends for life :) So I definitely would suggest you to stay here if you want a mix of work and spanish lessons!

I stayed two weeks with Klara and her family and had a great time! 🌞 The place is absolutely beautiful and Klara is super friendly, helpful and flexible when it comes to working hours/tasks. If you're looking for a peaceful time in nature, I can definitely recommend the farm! The work can be physically demanding (and a bit dirty) but most if it is fun and only a few hours a day. The food is simple and good, but I recommend bringing also snacks for in between! Also bring a book or something else for you free time, especially when there's bad weather! :)

It was a great two weeks for me. The farm work was what I sought out - it was hard at times, but outdoors mostly and doing stuff with my hands. I made great friends with the other volunteers and Klara and her family are very nice. The Spanish lessons were great - the teacher is amazing and they really catered to my level very well. There is lots of opportunity to practice by talking with Klara, her family and/or the other volunteers. The food is simple but tasty and the town of Jericó is so cute and fun to visit!!

We had a great week at the farm. We are on a long backpacking trip and wanted to be one place for a while and develop our (very beginner) Spanish skills. Our experience met our expectations, and Klara and her family are very welcoming. We had a comfortable private room for the week. The work was varied, with the only downside being that we were outside of the farm harvesting season so didn't get to see much of that process (Klara gave us a heads up about this before we arrived). The Spanish classes were particularly good and catered well to the different levels of the group.
