The Experience

We are needing a super arty person to help us with creating a mural (or two if they want to stay for longer). We are opening a new rooftop deck space and would love for someone to give this gorgeous space some colour for us. We have a few ideas on what would work but would be open to suggestions. We would need to see examples of previous work before confirming. R500 food voucher will also be given for a 2 week stay. R750 for 3 weeks.

I am so grateful that I got to be a volunteer at this beautiful place. From the moment I arrived I immediatly felt welcomed and the hostel. Everyone is super kind and takes care of you 😊 thank you!! The volunteer tasks where all so much fun, you go on hikes, vine tastings, visit markets, have traditional Braais and much more. The location is also great, you stay in the middle of capetown with many restaurants and bars - plus it is safe here! I would 100% recommmend this volunteer program to everyone, because you will meet amazing people here and have the chance to discover capetown ☀️

Volunteering the hostel@Home was truly an amazing experience that I would absolutely recommend to anyone! The employees are incredibly nice and fun to talk to and Nique is always making sure the Volunteers are well and happy. The activities don't really feel like work, especially because you get to do them with other Volunteers. There's lots to do in the area, which is safe in general, but it's easy to reach other parts of cape town as well. I've met the most amazing people during my stay and would absolutely come back to do this again!

The experience was amazing! The employees and the team were very friendly and welcoming, yet also professional! I got to see a lot on the hostel tours, either for free or for a very low cost, which was fantastic! The volunteer room has plenty of shelves and storage space, so you can actually unpack your things, which is great! For light sleepers, it might be a bit noisy, especially on weekends, since the hostel is located above a bar. Overall, the place was very clean, and they took care of all the maintenance work. It was also a great opportunity to improve my yoga teaching skills in english!

I had the most amazing time the hostel@home! The staff are absolutely amazing and I'm gonna miss you all soooo muchhhh!!❤️ the jobs we are set are so fun and easy- we organise events like movie nights for guests and go on the most beautiful hikes🏔️cape town is such a beautiful city with so much to do you'll the hostel get bored! Couldn't recommend this place enough :)
