The Experience

Esperamos que tengas una experiencia inolvidable en Medellín, en un barrio local a 2 minutos del poblado. Las principales actividades será atender la recepción de huéspedes durante turnos flexibles principalmente en las horas de la noche 7pm-11:30pm. Fácil! tendrás una cama en habitación compartida (máximo 4) el día libre y descansará 2 dias completos durante la semana para disfrutar de la ciudad de Medellín su cultura y atractivos turísticos.

The hotel was a lovely volunteer experience! The private room and bathoom were great, I felt welcomed by the host, and the work was straightforward. It was difficult to meet people as it is a hotel (not a hostel) so there isn't really a social vibe, however it would be perfect for someone with existing connections in Medellín.

I had a great time at Hostel the hotel! The tasks were easy, with plenty of time off to discover Medellin. The hostel is in a calm, locals-y neighbourhood outside the main tourist centre, so great for someone looking for a more authentic experience. All the team are lovely as well, and the hostel is clean and well equipped. However, just to mind that there are not so many guests and other volunteers, so meeting lots of new people through the hostel this could be complicated, but for a remote worker/someone more independent, it's perfect!

The owners Carlos and Luis are extremely pleasant and reasonable people who made my stay very comfortable and made me feel right at home. The facilities at the Hostel are very clean and appropriate for your stay. The work assigned is very straightforward and simple. Paired with reasonable hours, this made for a very pleasant experience. Not to mention how well located the hostel is physically, with great food and shops surrounding it. It is not that far away from a Metro station and is within walking distance of El Poblado.

Carlos & Luis built a really nice place to stay with this hotel, in the heart of Cristo Rey, a truly local barrio ! The room is super comfy, the hotel got everything to feel like at home and the work is super simple ! Grateful for this opportunity to enjoy Medellin while staying in a comfortable environment!
