The Experience
En Train Up, buscamos voluntarios apasionados por la enseñanza de inglés que quieran ayudar a niños de 5 a 15 años en Cabuyaro, Meta. Los voluntarios impartirán clases dinámicas, crearán materiales didácticos y vivirán la cultura llanera. Trabajarán 5 horas diarias, 5 días a la semana, con 2 días libres. Este rol es ideal para quienes desean contribuir en una comunidad con acceso limitado a educación de calidad.

I loved teaching English at TrainUp with Paula and friends! I developed strong connections with the students as well as Paula's family and friends. The house had everything I needed and the room was spacious. I got to practice Spanish when I was not teaching which was another goal for me. Paula and her family did a great job of including me and Clara in activities and making us feel at home. The town itself was very small, so volunteers should be prepared to make their own activities to pass the time. Overall I loved the experience and I will definitely be back!

Pasé un mes maravilloso en este voluntariado. Encontré a personas que quedarán siempre en mi corazón. Paula fue de una ayuda excepcional, siempre fue a mi lado cuando tenía dudas. Las misiones fueron muy enriquecedoras, aprendí muchas cosas. Descubrí la cultura llanera a través del baile, de la comida, y de los eventos culturales. Cocinaron muy rico y tradicional! Los niños fueron alegres de que extranjeros vinieron a enseñar el inglés y pues fueron muy motivados y pacientes. Si están buscando un voluntariado con mucho apoyo, mucha energía y muchas risas, están en el buen lugar!
