Volunteering in the farm was the best worldpackers experience we've had. We helped with gardening, planting and cleaning, we found it as meaningful work on a truly inspiring permaculture farm. The host lucia and giancarlo were incredibly kind and welcoming. They treated us like family, shared their knowledge generously and made sure we were always comfortable. We stayed in a cozy private caravan and enjoyed delicious meals every day. Beyond the work, we learned so much about permaculture and sicilian culture, and we left feeling inspired and grateful for having such a amazing time.

My trip out to the farm was quite last minute but Lucia and her husband were quick to work with me. Upon arrival I felt at home and welcomed. They are excellent hosts!! I felt the work was rewarding and not too extreme. I was able to immerse myself in true Sicilian culture as well, the food was amazing. The sustainability practices were plentiful as well, from compost and solar panels and recycling and reusing and resourcing. I really recommend volunteering here!! If you're looking to immerse yourself in sustainability practices, Sicilian culture and the countryside, this this is for you :)

They took us to see how the olives we picked got turned into oliveoil which was a unique experience along with other things.
