What you get

The Experience

At Hesla Farm we need all kinds of skills. Please see the description in our profile of what can be daily tasks. I, Ligia, work together with You, so that we will become a perfect team. A dedicated barkeeper is our dream. Bar mostly open in week-ends. What I am NOT looking for, are persons who come to stay only for seeking ordinary work in Norway.

Staying at the lodge was an unforgettable experience! From day one, Ligia and Knut made me feel like part of the family with their warmth and kindness. The work was fun and fulfilling, and I learned so much while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. More than just a volunteer experience, it felt like a true cultural exchange filled with great conversations, and meaningful connections. The lodge was the most perfect first experience on worldpackers. We thank Knut and Ligia for accepting us. Ligia is a kind and wise woman, we enjoyed every second with her and all the collaborators were lovely, especially Vita who guided and helped us through all our stay making us feel comfortable all the time. The work was not much because of the season but we enjoyed welcoming the few guests during Christmas and staying in the cozy reception talking to them. 100% recommended. It's better if you know spanish as we luckily did but norwegian and english are as good.

Our experience was wonderful! We were very well received by Ligia, the host. She is so generous, she immediately made us feel at ease and we stayed in a really comfortable flat. They made us experience the local culture and food always accompanied with great conversation and advices. We were also welcomed by Vita, a the lodge collaborator and since we were there during Christmas time she invited us for dinner and we thank her so much for the help. There were not many guests so work was not much, but still we enjoyed it and it gave us the opportunity to be creative in welcoming guests

It was a lovely place, but very hard to understand what was needed of me, host speaks only Spanish and norwegian, and is always off doing something else but had no way of me knowing what I had to do.
