I really enjoyed my time volunteering as a receptionist at Green Belly. I was welcomed by a lovely volunteering teamintroduced to me by Anna, who greatly managed the hostel during my time there. Throughout the month we became a close group by eating lunch and dinner together daily, prepared by the lovely Elsa <3. I enjoyed the laid-back environment of Green Belly where guests came to be a part of all that El Paredon has to offer but not to be in the center of it. Even though Green Belly Surf Lodge is located at the center, it felt like my own little safe space full of kindness and good vibes.

I had an amazing experience working as a surf instructor at Green Belly Hostel. From the very first moment, I felt incredibly welcomed—the community vibe is strong, and everyone looks out for each other. I learned so much about reading and handling difficult ocean conditions, and it really helped me grow as a teacher. Teaching surf here was a lot of fun and very rewarding. Big shoutout to Anna, the manager—she's absolutely on top of everything and creates a super supportive environment. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to connect, learn, and enjoy the waves.

I had a really good time here! The hostel is chill, is great place to spend time in el Paredón, to learn how to surf, and to meet amazing people!! The work is chill and not difficult at all. The food is also delicious thanks to Elsa.

I was lucky to be there in a good time of the year working with a really good team, this is really random and obviously the people that you share the job with make the difference, otherwise my duties as surf instructor were pretty chilled and I could organize my schedule by myself which worked out perfectly with my balance work/free time.
