My time at The space was great. I was able to meet people all the time, be part of Sunday funday and have time to work online. There's a cool environment, good food and friendly staff. We had a nice volunteer group to share activities at the hostel and afterwards at the beach. If you're looking to socialise and have fun, this is the best place!

I liked to stay in the hostel, but the casita where we had to stay in was not clean. The volunteers are managed by a 19 year old with no manager skills. We got kicked out because we were too late. The reason why we were too late was because of an accident in front of us, but there was no space for communication. I don't recommend this hostel to volunteer.

Hi Eline,

Thank you for comment. We're sorry that you had an unfortunate experience with us. Please note that we have since streamlined the volunteer department to avoid situations like that again.

Regarding the house being dirty, unfortunately you came during wet season and it is very hard to keep anything clean in the jungle then! However we did note that volunteers are responsible for keeping their own accommodation neat and tidy, so that's up to you and your team.

Safe travels onwards and thank you for the feedback!
