Great opportunity to learn about permaculture. A lot of locals live their so if you're after meeting Aussie's, great place to do that. Very interesting and hippie vibe. Loved their home grown honey and veggies

This place seems to have really improved from the last reviews left by volunteers. The people were incredibly welcoming and what drama there was, we were able to stay out of easily. My main note; be prepared to hear about some unusual religious ideas from a few of the habitants. I don't care about it, I but it may make others uncomfortable. We stayed in Lorikeet building, and while I could see prior evidence of black mold (as other reviews mentioned,) it has clearly been treated and mostly stripped :)The work was super fulfilling and relaxed; the food was delicious! Everyone really was great.

I wouldn't come back here, nor recommend this place to anyone. Positives; unlimited free food, beautiful location, free accom, deep in nature, flexible with hours (I was sick for the first 2.5 weeks and they allowed me to make up hours missed). Negatives; black mold EVERYWHERE, everyone was sick from it while I was there. The energy of this place is really strange, the majority of people here are very self centered and not looking to connect with volunteers. There is a ton of gossip, passive aggressiveness, & no structure whatsoever. Also there was a domestic incident between members. 2/10.

It is interesting to read this because you asked to extend your stay and we didnt accept your request as you did not have a good reputation for making any effort despite arriving sick.
2 other fantastic volunteers who helped with a market stall could not believe that you counted the hours at the market when they said you did not help.
It sounds like a vindictive review to me.

I truly loved staying in the the community. All the members and volunteers were very kind, considerate, and I was able to connect with many wonderful people. I really enjoyed working in the garden and learning more about sustainability and permaculture. Of course, sometimes things don't run perfectly, but if you're willing to contribute your part to improve things, you will have a fantastic time.

I have really enjoyed my time at the the community and spending time with the group of people there , volunteers and the community members alike! The work felt rewarding and fun, especially when working along side others and I really appreciated that you could take your own initiative and choose what you wanted to help with, to assist the the community, depending on your preferences. The surrounding nature is beautiful and I have been able to go on day trips to noosa, do various hikes and see the eumundi markets, which I would definitely recommend!
