This was by far one of my best travelling experiences ever. The entire BigStyle team and all the people living in the staff house are an amazing bunch of people. The work at the lodge is a lot of fun and you don't even think about it as „real“ work. The landscape and nature in Killadoon is absolutely breathtaking. This place is especially well suited for folks who are interested in surfing. I cannot stress enough how much I would recommend this place. It's definitely worth a trip :)

Volunteering at BigStyle has been truly amazing❤️ Shane, Áine, all the guys from the staff and the other volunteers made me feel at home from the beginning. The work was very pleasant and the tasks easy, I especially liked helping in the kitchen and making pizza on Saturday night. During your free hours in the weekend you can take part to surf/ yoga lesson or hikes they organise, and there's also a lovely pub where you can spend the evenings. I recommend this place to everyone who wants to be in the middle of nature and experience Irish culture.

The hostel is a special and magical place that will always have a piece of my heart. If you're looking for a wonderful community of people and the best views around this is the place to be. I would recommend the hostel to everyone, especially those looking to really immerse yourself in Irish culture and get more in touch with nature. I also learned so many new skills here! Much love.

With this being my first Worldpackers experience, my time with BigStyle really raised the bar for any following volunteer trips. Not only are you close to the sea and the most beautiful nature and views, but the people you will meet are the kindest souls who will make you feel right at home. I had the best time in Killadoon and cannot recommend this place enough!!

My time with the host has been amazing and I am so grateful for this beautiful experience. Killadoon is quiet and georgeus and the lodge is unique. Everything is wonderful around there but the best of all are the people that work in it. If you are looking for a nice spot with the best people, the host is the place. Thank you for the funny moments, for all that kidness and for making me feel at home.

I had an amazing time with the host - the team were all very welcoming and lots of fun to work with, and the lodge itself was amazing! Work rarely felt like work, and there was plenty of time to improve my surfing or pursue other interests. The region itself is stunning, and with Killadoon as a base it is very easy to explore the surrounding area through hiking or biking. I'd definitely recommend volunteering here to anyone!

He pasado 4 semanas increíbles en Killadoon. El equipo es increíble y super acogedor desde el primer momento, el sitio es precioso, parece que estés en una película. Destacaría positivamente que el ambiente te invita a querer llevar una vida activa, hacer deporte de diferentes formas: surf, yoga, hiking… Respecto a las tareas de trabajo son muy sencillas de hacer y si tienes dudas con algo, el personal se encarga de ayudarte con cualquier cosa. En resumen, recomiendo este voluntariado ya que vuelves con mucha felicidad y muchos amigos nuevos de diferentes partes del mundo!
