My experience at the Lodge was incredible, it is a perfect place to connect with nature, you become very close with the volunteers, going for a walk, surfing, playing board games, going to the bar for some pints, you make very good friends. The tasks are quite fun and easy, the food is delicious, the owners and workers are very attentive, whenever you want you can go surfing by borrowing the equipment, as well as the sauna and jacuzzi! Thank you for this amazing opportunity! PS: I am now an expert surferrrr :)

The BigStyle Lodge is very remote, but due to this, the volunteers become very tightknit and like a second family. If you want to get out of the area on your days off, you can hitchhike into town and use TFI from there. The owners and staff at the lodge are really wonderful, communicative, and you can tell they genuinely care for the volunteers. They da great job making the volunteers feel included and comfortable coming to them for any type of help. Helping at the BigStyle Lodge has been an amazing memory and I will miss everyone I got the opportunity to meet! I highly recommend BigStyle :)

Staying at the hotel was one of my favourite life experiences so far! Being in the middle of nowhere in a cozy lodge with beautiful nature and people gave me so much peace of mind. The staff is very caring, kind & fun to be around. The work is very doable and often fun to do with fellow volunteers! Loads of time to explore the area, go hiking, go surfing, do arts & crafts, play games and bond with the fellow volunteers :) Would recommend staying at least a month. In short: I've never been so sad to leave a place <3 will be back!

The hotel was an opportunity of a life time, from meeting new amazing friends to learning how to surf & make pizza dough balls… if you're looking for a place to escape with epic views and endless opportunities then this is the place to go!!

The hotel was a beautiful place to stay, the people were great and fun to work and live with. The work was reasonable and the hours flexible allowing us time to explore the area and bond with locals and other volunteers. Would recommend :)

Volunteering at BigStyle was so amazing! The staff there are so incredible! Funny, welcoming, caring and a great laugh. The work is very do-able and not hard at all. The pub next door and hanging out with fellow volunteers and staff was what made our experience so amazing. There are so many opportunities to explore the beautiful county Mayo whether it is surfing, hiking, yoga or just walking around the incredible town of Killadoon. We will miss everyone there and wish them the best!!

BigStyle was such a wonderful experience, I had a great time at the lodge :) The people who manage the place are really kind and welcoming! The tasks were reasonable, never took much time and I had loads of time to explore the area around, walk to different beaches and go surfing. BigStyle is a beautiful place to enjoy nature, to live and be. Hope to be back one day!

The hotel is an amazing place to relax and enjoy living in a beautiful remote area. The work is enjoyable and not difficult, good vibes all round. There are plenty of day trips you can do nearby if you are happy to hitch hike a little! The only thing I found a little tricky was that the volunteer room was quite small to share between 6 people, but the common room in the lodge is lovely to relax in.

The hostel is an AMAZING place, landscape is breathtaking, the food you get is delicious and the accomodation is a luxury, the staff is the best, totally recommend
