I had a great time at BigStyle! The location is absolutely beautiful and the staff is super friendly. I'd recommend this volunteering position to anyone looking to learn how to surf and enjoy nature, pints of Guinness and a slower pace of life :)

I don't know how this experience could've been any better. It really exceeded any expectations that I had. I settled in within day & felt very comfortable. The location is stunning, and I made some of the greatest connections with my fellow housemates. There is so much opportunity to practice surfing, engage with locals, and overall slow down. the hostel set the bar very high & I am so grateful to have experienced the amazing place that it is. I hope to be back :)

Bigstyle will always hold a special place in my heart! It's a true irish experience being out on the west coast, the work is super fun and easy and living with all the staff is such good craic. Feel so sad after leaving, all these people are truly special. I would definitely recommend staying longer (over a month) to truly get involved in the community. The nature is unreal - it's in the middle of the country side, far away from any the hostel town. It was amazing to slow down my pace of life and enjoy peoples company and simplicity. Loveeee this place, miss it all already 🫶🏻

This place is very special, especially because of the people. Everyone is friendly and very welcoming. I recommend it above all to the ones who enjoy tranquillity and nature. It is perfect for walking, surfing if the weather permits, or visiting the surroundings. This place is so peaceful and perfect to disconnect from the routine. You'll learn to be happy with little things, and know yourself better. It has been a very positive experience for me and I will miss it a lot🫶

Everything was amazing! The food, the surf community, the landscape. Overall the Irish hospitality can't be beaten. Everyone was very accommodating and made you feel welcomed as soon as you came. Wish I could've stayed longer.

I will remember this experience fondly. The people here have been well-chosen, especially Áine, who made me always feel so comfortable working alongside with her in the kitchen. She exudes leadership qualities and is incredibly talented. The experience allowed me to take some time away as I was able to use the sauna and hot tub in my free time. I had a comfortable place to sleep and in my time off I adored writing my book and heading for sunset swims. The kind hearted people I was surrounded with created a lively and beautiful atmosphere.Unequivocally, a place I would recommend.

I got to spend the last month working at the hostel, I cannot recommend this experience enough. Everyone was so lovely and made the work fun. Defiantly would recommend this trip for travelers looking to be outdoors (lots of swimming/hiking). The lodge will always hold a special place in my heart - thank you for everything!

My experience at the hostel has been amazing!I met amazing people and had the best time ever!The place is perfect and has amazing views,perfect for people who want to connect with nature,surf,chill and get to know the Irish culture.Also the work was very easy and it didn't feel like work at all,especially when we made pizzas every Saturday I loved it!I cannot recommend this experience enough,I wish I had stayed longer.
