My time in the project was unlike anything I experienced before. Get off the beaten path to experience local culture in a way that no tourism agency could ever offer to you. Live like a local, eat like a local and have true impact on the community. Roni is one of the kindest persons I know and he made me feel truly welcome in his home. the project offers many interesting places to go to but you might not want to go anywhere as the backyard offers stunning views of the river and the rice fields. If you want to use your time to make an impact come here and help with the river project!

Roni replied

Robert Goosen from Germany has been an incredible asset to our community during his time here in West Sumatra. His dedication to social initiatives, such as teaching English to children across various educational levels, from kindergarten to university, has made a profound impact.Additionally, Robert's enthusiasm for immersing himself in our traditional arts and culture, evident in his participation in Sunday night community events, where he shares his knowledge and learns traditional dances, exemplifies his genuine commitment to cultural exchange.
