I spent two wonderful weeks at the project. Putao, Stone and the aunties were so welcoming. The work is really interesting, between gardening and welcoming groups, I learned a lot. Obviously the place is incredibly beautiful, there is plenty to do in the surrounding area, and the amenities are also very good. It is with a pang in my heart that I leave this place which truly bears its name the project. It's obvious that I will come back there during a future trip to China, I have the impression of having found a family here.

Your previous work experience involves being a teacher who cares for special children, so you are especially capable of organizing activities and understanding the children. We had a really lovely time staying here for two weeks. The location is idyllic and very peaceful. As climbers, we appreciated having a few routes onsite and being able to borrow gear from the farm. The accommodation and food were fantastic. My work wasn't quite as expected as I ended up spending most of my time helping to develop a new website. Communication around responsibilities and tasks could be improved as there were a few times when I wasn't sure what exactly we needed to do, or whether we were responsible for something. Overall, I would recommend - a fantastic opportunity.

Ella and James are nice couples. James helps lots of gardening and permaculture things. Ella helps lots of making the new website.
Ella always has the new ideas. The special moment is that we make the bamboo weaving for the local handcraft master. And we go to the river to catch the fish. Thank you so much for your helping.

I had a great experience at the project. I loved exploring the area (very beautiful & scenic), meeting locals, learning about permaculture and practicing Mandarin. Most workers were friendly and especially the gardenist (Yu Āyí) is a very lovely elderly woman. Also Leo and Snow are great hosts. The highlights were Saturdays, cause we (the volunteers) got to rock climb, cave explore and take part in huge feasts. The only issue which lead to some frustration was the poor communication. I hope the host & workers improve that in the future. Besides that, it was great & I can only say XieXie✌

I had a good experience visiting the farm during the pretty quiet off season. even though almost no one else working there spoke english it was never a problem showing me what i had to do. often there was no work for me and the other volunteers, (mostly) because it was raining a lot so we were often bored and unsatisfied… once though we were able to go climbing which was fun! on my off days i was able to explore the area. not during the working days because you work 3 hours in the morning and 2 in the afternoon so the whole day is filled but on your off days you can go to town or hiking.

Como siempre en el campo, "cada día trae su afán", así que el trabajo va variando de acuerdo a la necesidad del momento. el proyeto es el lugar ideal si se está buscando tener una experiencia en la China rural, alejado de las grandes MEGA ciudades, con comida local del campo. Su ubicación permite conectarse con la naturaleza y contigo mismo, salir a caminar, disfrutar las montañas, el río, el pueblo. Los empleados del hotel no hablan inglés, así que es perfecto para practicar o aprender algo de Chino. Buen estadía, alimentación y trato muy amable de parte de todos.

El entorno y la estancia fueron mucho mejor de lo que podía imaginar. Si te gusta hacer trabajo de huerto (aunque el trabajo y horario varía según los huéspedes y actividades que haya en ese momento), estar en contacto con la naturaleza, la tranquilidad, lo recomiendo 100%. Yo no sabía nada de chino y aunque sabiendo chino sería una experiencia mucho más enriquecedora, me sentí muy cómoda y siempre nos pudimos entender, especialmente gracias a la pareja que lleva la recepción que son super agradables.
