I had spent about 10 days at the project! It was such a fun, and peaceful time. I got there at the end of the kids camp and had a chances to do outdoor activities with kids. Then I had the whole 7 days helping aunties around the place such as cleaning guest rooms and gardening. Aunties couldn't speak english and to be honest, I got in shocked with the language barrier and caused me a day to adapt to it. At the bottom line, we just tried to understand each other and translator app worked well. 3 meals a days was beyond great. I haven't felt hungry even second. Accommodation was good. 謝謝!

I really enjoyed my time at the project. The location is very peaceful and beautiful, surrounded by nature and mountains. The work varies a bit day to day, from working in the garden to assisting with various tasks around the house or helping out with guests. Communication was a bit challenging at times, and there were moments when I wasn't totally sure what needed to be done. But everyone was kind and patient, and I always felt welcomed and included. It was a meaningful experience overall that I am very grateful for.

I had a great time volunteering at the project and Farm in Yangshuo. The farm is peaceful and beautiful, surrounded by nature. Mr. Liu is a kind and caring host, and the work was fair and well-organized. Food is fresh and mostly from the farm. The local staff were friendly, special Ms. Mo (Mo Ayi) and Ms. Zhang (Zhang Ayi) though mostly spoke dialect. Best to visit during peak seasons to join fun activities like rock climbing and tie-dye. A meaningful and refreshing experience—I'm truly grateful!

This was my second experience with Worldpackers and it set a high expectation. My stay was so beautiful surrounded by the beauty of Guilin, working with the kindest people I now call friends and get to try new activities . IEveryday was different and my work wasn't always the same. Thank you for the opportunity and would highly recommend :))

Staying the Farm was an amazing experience! I was there in February, during the low season, so there were no guests. It's the perfect time if you're looking for a peaceful, quiet place surrounded by beautiful mountains and nature. Be prepared though — the weather can be really cold, but it's absolutely worth it. Since there were no guests, most of my tasks were gardening with one of the aunties. She doesn't speak English, but we always found ways to understand each other. The food prepared by the aunties was absolutely delicious, made with fresh vegetables straight from the garden.

My stay at the farm was a peaceful escape in a quiet and stunning natural setting. You will help with various tasks, mostly cleaning to gardening. For meals, you'll enjoy fresh, home-grown produce. The hosts are warm and thoughtful globetrotters, but note that you will not chat much with them nor other employees if you don't speak Mandarin. I highly recommend coming during the parent-child ETU camp. Despite a busy schedule, you'll get to join exciting activities with beautiful views of caves, the Li River, and karst peaks. The farm becomes a lively place with plenty of fun with the kids.

This was my first experience with Worldpackers and it set a high expectation. My stay was so beautiful surrounded by the beauty of 桂林Guilin, working with the kindest people I now call friends and get to try new activities with the guests at the inn. I also got to improve in my Chinese by using it as my sole communication language . Everyday was different and my work wasn't always the same. My stay in the project was my first experience with worldPackers and I couldn't imagine better. Lovely people, good food, wonderful place and a very resting stay. The tasks were very diverse : gardening, cleaning, cooking,... Leo and his wife are amazing people who organise acticities where I could take part in. My 3 partners working in the farm where also amazing and did real effort to communicatedesote som language barrier... I truly gonna miss them. I discovered deeply the Chinese culture, learned more about permaculture and explored the area. Thank you so much for everything !!!

I spent over a month at the project. The work is hard, but there are also many opportunities for fun, especially when there are camps or groups. These are also times when you'll enjoy the best Chinese food possible. However, several volunteers shared the idea that, outside of those seasons, the organization of work could be much better and more clear. I think this is something that could be easily improved, so I'm sure that with clearer organization or more structured permaculture programs, the adventure at the project will easily exceed the expectations of future visitors. Such a fulfilling and wonderful experience when there are children staying at the inn, there are hikes with the guests that are sensational and hidden gems. The mountainous area of the farm is vast and beautiful! It is so lovely to be able to engage with the activities and be a part of the guests' stay. The aunties cooking is the best food I've ever had. Sticky rice !! 😍😍😍Note that during your stay you are mostly asked to do housekeeping, and these hours can become a little unclear.
