I stayed at Patrick's house during the winter and had a mixed experience. While he was kind in many moments, some aspects made the stay challenging. There was no regular access to hot water, so I had to heat water in a pot and use a basin for bathing. Patrick was eager to socialize but occasionally diregarded personal boundaries, including entering my room unannounced in his underwear. While he SEEMS well-intentioned, I recommend future volunteers, especially WOMEN, discuss expectations and boundaries beforehand.

Its was our first volunteer experince and i can say that it was the best experience , Patrick was really nice with us, since the first day he explained us about the town, schedules and tasks for the day. We had movie nights after working. Also the project is a nice town not too far from Rome, you can take the bus and visit Rome during your days off. Than you again Patrick :)

The experience was fine, Patrick's a good and unique person, he's quite helpful although he can get a bit manipulative sometimes. The worst part of the stay was the place, which is under construction and the fact that there was no hot water most of the time, but overall everything was fine. We didn't have major conflicts.
