Help us build an animal sanctuary while staying at the beach!
The experience
Hello fellow travelers! We're building an animal sanctuary, permaculture garden, & glamping site to support the sanctuary. In Mizata, just a 5-minute walk from the beach, our tropical land is becoming a haven for animals and a serene retreat for guests. We house 10 rescued dogs, with more awaiting. We need animal lovers to help with construction, painting, planting, dog walks, electrical work, plumbing, and more to create a forever home for them!
What you offer
25 hours of help per week
Cleaning:
Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.
Gardening:
Help grow plants and cultivate gardens
Animal Care:
Help look after and take care of animals.
Building & Repairing:
Help with a wide range of repairs or building.
What you get
2 days off per week
Team Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Requirements
Intermediate English or Intermediate Spanish
Over 18 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers
What's not included

Activities & Shift
Volunteers will assist with a variety of tasks, including:
- Construction projects
- Painting and maintenance
- Planting and gardening
- Beach Walking and caring for dogs
- Electrical work
- Plumbing
- General upkeep and improvement of the sanctuary and glamping site
Requirements:
- A commitment of at least 25 hours of work per week
- A minimum stay of 3 weeks
- Passion for animals and sustainable living
- Flexibility and willingness to work on various tasks
Accommodation and Benefits:
- Shared accommodation in the volunteer house with other volunteers and the house manager
