The Experience

Welcome to Restauras, the farm. We are Selma and Douglas, a brazilian couple who lived in the UK for over 10 years and have decided to move back home to live in the southern countryside of Brazil and build their dream farm. Escape the city and immerse yourself in the serene and vibrant life at the farm! Nestled in the picturesque countryside, we have a charming chalet available. We're looking for someone to help with general tasks.

Douglas is an amazing person! We found out we have a lot in common, which made the whole experience even better than I expected. He's flexible with schedules and activities, and really attentive to our needs, always making sure we're doing well. I learned a lot about how things work on the farm and in the countryside. My tasks were pretty diverse, which made the experience even more meaningful. I definitely hope to keep our friendship going beyond the program. It was easily one of the best experiences I've ever had.

Berta & I stayed for 2 weeks at Douglas' farm. The farm is 8km away from the next village and surrounded by a beautiful area. On the farm are some pigs, chicken, a horse and a cat. Our tasks were to prepare breakfast, dinner & lunch and feed the pigs & chicken everday at 6am and 5pm. Sometimes we got some additional tasks like painting the fence and stones. I was very happy to be with 2 other volunteers at the same time bc we had a lot of free time, where we could hang out together. Douglas also brought us to waterfalls with his car. We had an amazing time there & can recommend staying there!
