This was volunteering luxury, a cozy home away from home with fair and rewarding working hours, hosted by two lovely people with so much generosity and kindness. It was a beautiful place to stay, and the location is convenient for exploring Scotland's central belt. If you're lucky enough to stay here, give Charlie a kiss from us!

Karen and Elaine are incredible hosts and we feel very lucky to have stayed with them. Their expectations are extremely fair compared to what they provide. They are extremely well organised and thoughtful in their approach and the location is super handy to public transport and a stones throw to Glasgow.

Karen and Elaine were excellent hosts and are very lovely people. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with them. The hours and type of work expected are more than fair. Karen was very organised with showing us our tasks and providing the equipment which was very appreciated as it made it a smooth process. Their place is also not far from Glasgow which made exploring easy. Would highly recommend this WorldPackers experience.

Karen and Elaine welcomed us warmly and made sure we had everything we needed. The tasks were exactly as agreed—clear, fair, and well organized. You can really feel their care in everything they do. The cabin was a dream: small, cozy, and fully equipped. Being surrounded by nature, waking up to birdsong, and having the river nearby was incredibly grounding. Charlie, their cat, would visit us now and then, and on our last day she showed up like she came to say goodbye—small things that stay with you. This is a beautiful place to reconnect with nature, explore the area, and feel at home. :)

Karen and Elaine were truly wonderful hosts, always attentive, kind, and genuinely concerned about our comfort throughout the stay. They provided everything we needed to carry out our daily tasks with ease and were always respectful of all the agreements we had. Beyond just a stay, the whole experience was deeply enriching and contributed significantly to my personal growth. The place itself is beautiful, peaceful, and full of good energy. We're incredibly grateful and definitely hope to return in the future. Highly recommended.
