Teaching 3-5 year olds was sweet; they quickly took to me. Be prepared: while rewarding, teaching young kids can be frustrating when they lose focus, forget or even refuse to participate. I taught 5 classes daily (2 hrs AM, 2 hrs PM), 6 days/week. Local teachers were great; despite language barriers, always helpful. Huong ensured I felt integrated. Excellent lodging; fresh meals. I was fully involved in end-of-year events. My first time teaching, it was a tremendous learning opportunity. Feeling like a true team member was a highlight. I'd definitely return. It's fulfilling! We had such a lovely experience at the school; the kids are the most lovable, energetic children and so eager to learn. They really put in a lot of effort and want to do well. It was such a joy being in the school with them. We taught ages 2-5 and you have 3x 30 min lessons in the morning and then again in the afternoon so the time goes quick! Just make sure you plan some flash card games that are age appropriate as we felt a bit underprepared initially as you are leading the lesson. The food the hotel provides is really good too. We would definitely recommend the experience to other people!

Amazing experience ! Huong is very welcoming and will explain everything to you with a lot of patience and good humor. My tasks included playing little games with flash cards or songs for children. The teaching team was very attentive to my needs. Incredible energy with warm children. The place was peaceful, with few tourists. I highly recommend

I had a great time at the school. The children are lovely and very excited to learn. It definitely helps if you have some teaching experience, or at least come prepared with a few ideas/games! Huong is a very friendly host who really takes care of the volunteers.

Definitely would recommend to anyone who's seeking experience in the real Vietnam! Huang is such a kind woman, and you can definitely feel that she deeply cares. Best to over prepare, and you can feel the difference you're making for the children. There are cheap food options around, and it definitely makes you want to go out and explore the rest of Vietnam as well. Recommend staying for more than a week, if you want to see more of Nghe An Provence. Definitely helps you learn more about yourself.
