The Experience
Somos un proyecto de Ecoturismo o Turismo de Naturaleza enfocados a la restauración de la población de mariposas y creación de un Ecoparque para que nuestros visitantes tengan un bonita experiencia de conexión con la biodiversidad y riqueza natural de esta región. Buscamos voluntarios que apoyen el desarrollo y mantenimiento del Ecoparque y la cría de mariposas. Igualmente necesitamos apoyo en las tareas de promoción turística del Ecoparque.

I'm deeply grateful for my time at Paraíso the reserve. Every person and animal I met made me feel respected, heard, and valued. Being immersed in Colombia's countryside I had the chance to connect to, and learn about the land, the loving animals, the warm people, and myself. The ecopark's a little away from the city, which limited social interactions but deepened my bond with nature. Though the work was challenging, it felt fulfilling, and I always felt supported when needing rest or suggesting new ideas. These weeks gifted me growth, reflection, and unforgettable moments. There are certainly going to be ups and downs to every WP experience. The eco-project itself involved several different tasks in progress, and the variety of work for us primarily centered around marketing, house chores, and gen. park maintenance. The location itself is STELLAR, but bring work boots!!! lol I do believe that during my time, there should've been better respect of boundaries. However, I am glad that the we volunteers were able to have an open discussion with the hosts about certain behaviors. I am grateful to the hosts for welcoming us into their home, and wish them well.

Pasé casi un mes en la reserva, está ubicado en una zona remota, tranquila y rodeada de naturaleza. Tuve la oportunidad de conocer a gente increíble: otros voluntarios, los visitantes del parque y habitantes del pueblo. Mis tareas siempre estaban bien explicadas y consistían en mantenimiento, jardinería, construcción, pintura y limpieza. Aunque la anfitriona Milena no estuvo en la reserva durante mi estancia, estuvo pendiente de los voluntarios y su bienestar todo el tiempo. Los anfitriones también están abiertos a hablar sobre cosas que puedan mejorar la experiencia de los voluntarios.

Gracias por el recibimiento en vuestro hogar, mi experiencia en el eco parque fue perfecta era justo lo que andaba buscando me sentí como en casa desde mi llegada y el trabajo es de lo más enriquecedor, Juan Carlos es una gran persona y un gran anfitrión aunque no tan buen jugador de ajedrez jajaja y Milena siempre se siente ahí para ofrecerte ayuda y facilidades. Estar en Paraíso la reserva fue una experiencia increíble, Juan carlos y Milena son anfitriones de primera, siempre con la mejor cara y en disposición de ayudarte en cualquier momento, realmente se siente como un hogar. Se aprende muchísimo de la diversidad de la region, un espacio muy tranquilo y lleno de paz. Súper seguro y lleno de gente local muy agradable. Recomendado al 100.
