The schedule and the work itself are easy, but sometimes tense. There was a misunderstanding when he loaded me with work on my day off, but after a conversation everything was resolved. There was no lunch, no one had one. In the reviews, he shames the girls for getting up at 10 a.m. and sitting on their phones until 3 p.m.(He himself said the schedule was flexible and there was no pressure, everyone started work immediately after breakfast)I advise you to discuss everything in advance at the beginning and I don't recommend it to single girls, I witnessed how he treated them.

Isan, i feel sorry that you thought it was tense, maybe because you had not done anything like this before, food was available in the cupboard i did not say the were on the phone till 3pm they stopped work, so what was my treatment of the girls like please share

To begin with, not everything listed on the website is provided (no lunch, bicycles, or tours). In addition, there was a clear lack of hygiene. The treatment was sometimes inappropriate, sexist, and macho. For these reasons, I would not recommend it for girls or long stays. Another negative point is the cold and dampness in the house during winter. On the positive side, there is flexibility in working hours. You are also in contact with animals and nature. However, the location is very remote and limits visiting towns or cities. Finally, I recommend making a video call before confirming.

getting out of bed at 10, breakfast, teeth, phone and chats, stopping at 15.00, you imagined a 5* hotel ?
inappropriate, sexist, and macho. ???? did not see appropriate clothes, you came to the beach in summer ??

where i you come from? your village is 1 hour away from a town , here only 20 minutes, you wanted to see sicily in 1 week minus 3 days!!!

During my stay, I had the opportunity to connect with nature and animals. Franco was quite flexible with work schedules and asked us about our preferences about food. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful, and it's near the village. Nevertheless, not all the characteristics of volunteering that appear on the website are fulfilled: lunch is not included, no bicycles or excursions… Furthermore, the sheets were somewhat damp due to the humidity and weren't entirely clean. Finally, I would like to mention that as women, we have sometimes felt uncomfortable and offended by certain comments.

Our time with Franco was great! I learned a lot about plants and did some diy around the house. We cooked together and he showed us many new recipes. Franco was always down to show us new places or made suggestions where we could go and see some more of Sicily and with that have another challenge if we wanted to. The lifestyle is not for everyone since it is very rough, but if you want to challenge yourself, (because that's what we do with Franco - Challenges!💪🏽😊) then it might be a great experience! Thank you Franco and Dumbo, Miaumiau and the other cats for this experience!☺️
