This was my first volunteer experience EVER and I couldn't have choosen better. Nikki and Oz are lovely and brilliant human beings, I'll miss them. They made me feel at home since day one and we had lovely chats all the time. The tasks were nice and hands on but not exausting, they were actually rewarding. The home that they have built over the last 38 years is honestly amazing and to see Nikki take care of everything and all the animals, mostly on her own, was very very admirable. The view of the farm is amazing, so much nature. The animals were sweets and I'll miss all of them so much. ❤️

Ana came for 2 weeks and helped in the garden weeding and planting some potatoes, also helped hold the lambs while I wormed them. This was all out of her comfort zone, being a city girl, but she really tried her best and did a wonderful job. She was such a lovely person to have stay here always cheerful and chatty and she looked after all the animals so we could go away for a few nights which was so nice for us to have such a responsible person left in charge, she loved all the animals.

Nikky is a lovely lady. She's very patient and friendly. During my stayed it was a challenge for me to adapt myself not only the tasks (being a desk guy), but also to their customs (mainly to the food) . But she answered in a very good way. It was a wonderful first experience in Wordpackers for me and I would do it again closed eyes. Nikky is a person you're going to miss once you'd left the farm. I'm glad of my time in the farm and even I've left some clothes for the following volunteers. Hope to visit again someday. Cheers!

Pablo was a delight to have stay here for 2 weeks, so friendly, upbeat and chatty and all the tasks he did with such precision and care, which was so helpful to me. He loved all the animals and we had great chats about them all and his own two lovely cats in Argentina. My introduction to Mate tea was fun, something I’d never heard of so had to have a try , in return he had a dandelion leaf 😂. I’ll definitely miss his company

I would highly recommend the farm, this was my first world packers experience and it was great, Nikki, Oz and Tom were very welcoming and kind. The tasks and hours were exactly as discussed and I was trained to do everything before having to do it alone. I am very appreciative to have been invited to go climbing with Tom and to go to nearby towns when they were visited. The home cooked meals every night were also very delicious.

We really appreciated your help at a very busy time of year, and the fact that you just got on with things that needed doing with the horses. Tom was very impressed with your climbing skills so it was lovely that you went camping in the welsh hills with him . Do hope you can make it back here in the Summer even though we had a mini summer while you were here !!! it's been raining ever since you left, so a nightmare with the lambs but all are ok. I'd recommend your help to any future hosts.

Very great experience to immerse in the Welsh countryside , definitely recommended to go. Since day one they made me feel like home, I didn't expect to go out climbing with Tom and Joe, but that was the best part of the volunteering. Nikki is very flexible and understanding with the work, she's had lots of volunteers for almost 10 years so she is good with communication.

Although my experience was cut short for personal reasons, my few days at the farm couldn't have gone better! Nikki made me part of her family straight away and I spent some lovely evenings chatting over a good meal ! The work is very varied, depending on what's needed, but Nikki is very patient when it comes to explaining everything. The only thing to bear in mind is that it's very isolated if you don't have a car. But I really recommend volunteering in this haven of peace in the middle of nature!
