What you offer

- Help out and collaborate with your host only a few hours per week.
- Cleaning
- Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

The Experience
Small tourist accommodation in Limerick City requires Live-in help. Housekeeping, cleaning, and managing guests is the work. Private accommodation provided as well as a weekly stipend. Must have good communication skills and a willingness to maintain the work ethic and standards of the house. Training provided. Not suitable for smokers, drug users, lazy people or people looking to party. All working dates are flexible with notice.

Matthew's house is such a nice place, he's not around too much, but he explained everything to me when I arrived. The job it's not difficult, housekeeping and checkouts in the morning usually and greeting guest after 3pm. If there are no checkins you can you can enjoy the afternoon in the city, since everything is near. You can visit other cities on your days off too since the bus and train station is just around the corner.

Matthew welcomed me with open arms from the very first day, and the weeks I spent with him were incredibly enriching for me. I got an inside look at what it takes to run a business as complex as his and shared experiences with many of the guests who visited the hostel. I also had time to explore the city more. In summary, it's a volunteer opportunity that requires a fair amount of time and dedication, but I wholeheartedly recommend it.

I had such a great first volunteering experience in the guest house Accomodation. Matthew is a welcoming and kind host, he made my stay very comfortable. You get to explore the city and experience Irish culture. The responsibilities around the guesthouse are true to the description. Thanks for giving me this opportunity, I absolutely recommend it!

Hi ! It was my first volunteer experience and honestly I think that I couldn't get a better one. This experience brought me a lot and will always stay in my heart. Mattew is very an amazing host, he made my stay as comfortable as possible. Futhermore he his very interesting, we had grand conversation together. I really appreciated that the first day he shows me everything and all the tasks. The job is flexible wich is very great. I managed my own time wich allowed me to visited the city and around. Thank's again 😊

Matthew is an amazing man, he is smart, funny, talented, welcoming, humble and outgoing!, I had a blast, it was a real pleasure to have met him, cause he quickly became a friend!. Limerick is a nice small city that has some really pretty spots to see and cool pubs you can have a drink (or two) at and dance! Hope I come back in the future and continue to learn and experience Ireland! Xx
