The Experience

We are a lifestyle farm looking for people to experience and learn from our journey. We are semi self sufficient with our own water and partial off grid power. We would like people to leave here with more knowledge than they came with. Where we specialise in breeding miniature animals. Our selection includes Babydoll Southdown sheep, donkeys, Dwarf goats, Miniature Hereford cattle, Belted Galloway cattle, miniature pigs, horses and alpacas.

Brilliant experience! Pam and Kevin are kind and hospitable and take you in as one of their own. They appreciate volunteers who genuinely want to learn and contribute towards the farm. With true passion for what they do, they love to share, teach and encourage you to get involved with all aspects. Hands on experience with animals, freedom to take initiative on projects and a great variety of tasks. Accommodation is cosy, private and spacious. I'm genuinely sad to leave. But, I'm leaving feeling inspired and with wonderful friends! (Take any bad reviews with a pinch of salt;)

One of the most beautiful and intense times of my life. I have been able to extend my stay here several times without any problems. The volunteers live in their own private house, with a kitchen.Everything was there. You can work independently here and let your creativity run wild.A fantastic place to connect with nature and the animals and to improve and expand your farm skills. It is a fantastic place to learn a lot,as Pam and Kevin (the owners) have extensive knowledge that they are happy to share. Please do not be put off by the bad review,I was working with this couple which were immature.

Thx Pam and Kevin - lovely informative hosts! Was like being a good family member: you have chores AND you look for things needing to be done. Pam drives into Midland weekly. Trains to Perth leave frequently. You may be able to borrow their car. Otherwise a typically remote farm. Accommodations were great! Your own house, room, modern bathroom, plenty of food. The tasty eggs alone were worth the trip! But best of all were the animals. Births: calf, 2 donkeys; the 2 loving lambs, we bottle fed. I learned SO many things! About dogs, chickens, lambs, goats, foxes, alpacas, trees, AU,etc

It was a great farming experience with plenty of animals. I mostly took care of the chooks (chickens) as a daily routine and carried out other tasks when needed. I learned a lot from Kevin and Pam during my short stay and would recommend it to others.

Pam and Kevin are very kind and welcoming people, and they genuinely want you to learn about farming and sustainable living. The accommodation was decent, though it could benefit from some improvements or better coordination of volunteer arrival dates to avoid overcrowding. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and Pam & Kevin make sure you enjoy your stay with them. They never pressure you to do tasks you're uncomfortable with, and they provide everything you might need for a comfortable stay. I met amazing people during my stay at the farm and formed some lifelong friendships. Thank you!
