The Experience
Available for any date before August 25 and available again after 5th of September. Our beautiful farm needs a farm hand. During winter time we need help with every day duties on the farm, feed cattle fence and some bobcat work.During summer time is different, a wide mixture of jobs. Free free to make questions. This experience is a great opportunity to connect with nature and learn more about farm jobs.

I can really recommend this experience for others. Wayne is a nice and welcoming person. His cooking is 10/10. There was a good work/life balance, where I sometimes helped more after my hours if he asked. I got a nice room for myself. So a really nice experience.

The Takara farm is absolutely stunning with lovely sunset and picturesque countryside land. The dogs were the cutest and very friendly, they would often hang around where I was working! Wayne is a GREAT cook, everything we ate was delicious and filling. Sometimes it can be a little hard to tell what is expected of you in the moment but asking for clarification usually helped.

Wayne was an incredible host, and Jenny's kind, heartwarming company made my stay unforgettable. Wayne went above and beyond to ensure I felt comfortable and happy, even picking me up from the bus station and providing helpful travel info. The caravan was clean, cozy, and private. Wayne patiently explained tasks and respected work-rest balance, always appreciating good results. Meals from Wayne and Jenny were delicious. And Zeus and Zelda, the playful German Shepherds, made every day brighter. I'm deeply grateful for the memories and friendships made — an experience I'll cherish forever.

Wayne is a fantastic host. Skye and I did a range of work on the farm usually accompanied by Wayne's lovely dogs Zeus and Zelda. Much as mentioned in the feedback we gave on Skye's profile, we can not recommend Wayne enough to those that would like to experience farm life. We were treated to amazing meals such as steak. He was also accommodating to Skye's allergy requirements. We will miss our time in the farm. Don't be a stranger Wayne!

Wayne was incredibly welcoming from the get-go and showed us his beautiful farm and lovely dogs. Our work consisted of weeding, mowing and using the bobcat for farming. We also helped Wayne design a container converted to house and did a family photoshoot. Wayne is an amazing chef and very generous. He took us on an amazing camping and fishing trip and we were more than happy to spend Christmas Day with him and the dogs. Thank you Wayne for picking us. We started as host and volunteer but we now leave as good friends. When you are on our side of the world, don't hesitate to message us!
