The Experience

We are looking for volunteers that would like to support and motivate our English class by first and foremost just being present, answering questions and playing fun word games. We encourage you to join our two daily classes (morning + afternoon) where you will most often just be there for the last 30 min (the fun part), but it is not mandatory. You can make your own schedule every day according to your liking and join other group activities too!

This was one of my favorite Worldpackers stay so far. Truly felt like a part of family. Host is very kind, friendly and supportive. Very grateful for Miss Indah for amazing homemade and full of flavor meals. We shared meals, stories & laugh. Work is very flexible and reasonable, environment very peaceful. The community is very welcoming, and I Larson much during my stay. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for some peaceful time in nature and an authentic cultural exchange.

Mr Y and Mrs Inda are incredible hosts that will do anything they can to make you feel at home. I found half of my experience was interacting with kids but also half was interacting with the teachers as many of them haven't had a native english speaker to talk to themselves. In Belopa/Luwu I felt incredibly safe. The locals are the most kind, expect to be approached but only because they are curious and dont see foreigners often. The hosts and all teachers/staff affiliated truly care about education and improving their community. This is a special place with very special things happening.

I've had the best experience with Mr Y and Ms Indah in the school! I truly felt like I was a part of the community, both them and the teachers were so welcoming and always made me feel as ease. We would arrange trips for me to discover more of the surroundings. Seeing the kids everyday and helping them with their English was a highlight for me, we would play games and talk to get to know each other. The locals are always very happy and friendly with the foreigners so it felt easy to relaxe and socialise. Terima kasih the school, I will always remember this experience!

My experience in the school was one of the best in my life . First of all, Mr Y and Mrs Indah were really friendly , helpful and they make me feel like I'm in my own house . The teachers were also really friendly and they helped me with the activities for the children . Also , I had free time to explore the city and day off to organise a trip or take a rest . In general , I totally recommend this experience to everyone . It is a good way to learn a lot about the culture , the locals and help .
