The Experience
A social hostel made for travelers by a traveler. Our garden bar is the perfect setting for our guests to not only share travel stories but a place to create them. We're looking for a bartender to join our volunteer crew. Our social volunteers run the daily hostel activities and jump behind the bar on busy moments. As a bartender you will be responsible for opening, running and closing the bar.

Working at the Cuckoos the hostel is the best experience I've had so far, strongly recommend it if you want to socialize, have fun, da lot of cool activities, and of course meet wonderful people! Benjamin it's a great human being, always helping you, making you feel comfortable, and just being a great mentor! I would definitely come back here, the Cuckoos the hostel will always be in my heart!

I had a great experience working at the hostel! Going in, I had no idea what to expect, but the staff & volunteers were so friendly and helpful. Taking trips to waterfalls & waterparks, we had a lot of opportunities to bond as a team. My favorite part of the actual "work" was learning to make cocktails. I just ordered a cocktail shaker— my flatmates are very grateful for this new skill.

It was my first volunteering experience and it was incredible. The work is fun and includes running the hostel, socializing with guests, organizing evening activities, and taking people out for the pub crawl in town. Thanks to this experience, I was able to improve my English and meet travelers from all over the world. Hoi An is also one of those cities that makes you want to stay longer – so this experience is just perfect.

Volunteering at the hostel was one of the best experience in my life. The staff was amazing, the volunteers were really kind and fun, and the place was just magical. If you want to meet people, have fun while having a great work experience (which was not easy sometimes 😅), then the hostel is waiting for you ! Thanks again for this wonderful experience :)

I had a really great time volunteering at the hostel. Ellen is the best manager, she's nice, flexible and always here to help you. The receptionnists are the sweetest, and if you have any question they just know everything on everything. The job is really fun, it's mostly serving drinks, making cocktails and talk with the guests. The staff house is nice, the beds are really comfy, even if the bedroom needs to be fixed a little (but it was suppose to be just right after I left). If you want to improve your social skills, and work with amazing people in a vibrant city, go for it!
