I got in touch with the bahian culture and food. The tasks I was asked to do were very diverse, from cooking, cleaning to gardening. The location of the pousada is directly at the muritiba entrance and 5 min from the city center. I am thankful for this experience that I had. However I would recommend to speak at least intermediate portuguese to be able to communicate better. Obrigada a Paula pela paciencia. :-)

As tarefas são feitas em turnos com o mesmo horário pra cada voluntário e as horas diárias são respeitadas, assim como as folgas, que são em dias consecutivos, facilitando quem quer viajar pela região. A pousada é familiar com a Paula coordenando tudo com a ajuda do marido e dos filhos e não tem funcionários fixos, então dependendo da quantidade de voluntários o horário para fazer as tarefas pode ser mais corrido. O café da manhã é uma delícia e a localização é num lugar bem tranquilo, com muitos pássaros e pertinho do centro de Lençóis.

Estar na pousada foi um grande presente! Paula é uma mulher maravilhosa, batalhadora, acolhedora e sempre disposta a ajudar! Estive no preparo do café no turno da noite e foram tarefas que aprendi muito, Paula é uma ótima cozinheira e estar com ela na cozinha foi muito bom! O ambiente da pousada é muito gostoso, cercado de natureza e pássaros tornando um ambiente de muita paz! Me senti em casa e fiz boas amizades, recomendo demais!
