I was a volunteer at the hostel in Phong Nha for three weeks. The reception position consisted of managing guest check-ins and check-outs, organizing tours and transportation, supporting restaurant operations, and providing a positive guest experience. Linh provided training, and was supportive, responsive, and open to feedback. The position had flexible hours, and I was able to explore Phong Nha in my personal time. It was a great opportunity to connect with guests and other volunteers! Thank you for the experience, Linh!

I felt very welcomed from the beginning. I got to spend time with Linh and her family, and eating with them every day. The experience itself was really nice, I've never done anything related to hostel working, but they taught me everything from the first day. I got to meet a lot of amazing people from all aroud the world and got to spend time knowing them better during the family dinners and playing together at the pool table and fussball table. I could grab a bike and go around phong nha, which is a very beautiful place. The working hours were really flexible and Linh let me choose my days of

This was my first experience and I will always remember it. I came to Linh without any expectations about what I wanted to learn or see, but I can say that I am more than satisfied. I have learned so much about the (working) culture in Phong Nha. I had some questions in my head regarding my future and this stay has helped me in the right direction. Also, I want to add that whilst I was staying here I had a motorbike accident. Even though I was incapable of doing work for Linh she let me stay. I am very thankful for my experience at the hostel.

Volunteering at Linh's is a very unique experience that is once in a lifetime. Emerging in Vietnamese culture, helping Linh out where possible and being a (help)host for the guests requires adaptive capabilities. I really enjoyed my time in Phong Nha and Linh makes sure you feel safe and secure when staying with her under her wings.

It was a good experience being at the hostel. Linh was welcoming and friendly. Tasks given included basic reception/admin tasks which were very easy to manage. However, you may need to be flexible with your duty hours. Everything else was great!
