The Experience

This June, I'm opening a small hostel in the picturesque village of Himare. Surrounded by beautiful nature, the hostel is a peaceful retreat, just a 7-minute walk from the crystal-clear, blue beach. I'm looking for help with running the hostel once it is open. Motivation and good vibes are highly appreciated. Join me in creating a welcoming and cozy home for travelers and backpackers to enjoy! :)

Volunteering here was such a special experience. The place is simple, peaceful, and surrounded by nature — perfect if you love a calm, down-to-earth vibe. The work was fair and not too heavy, and there was plenty of time to enjoy the beach and relax. What really made it unforgettable was lovely Serxho, who made everyone feel at home with his good family dinners each night, and the amazing group of other volunteers I got to meet and work with — such kind, fun people. Thank you all for the beautiful memories — I will be returning one day !

This was my first volunteering and I am absolutely grateful that I could experience it here. Serxio was lovely and caring ,and helpful host. The job was pretty chill. Hostel was really clean and spacious and felt like a home pretty quick. And food was absolutely delicious, better than from restaurants around. I am really grateful for this experience and my time here and I woul definitely recommend it:) Thank you 🤍

I had a great stay at the hostel! We were 3 volunteers during the two weeks i was here, our tasks would include preparing the tables for breakfast/dinner, starting breakfast, dishes after breakfast/dinner, cleaning floors and bathrooms and making beds, which would end up being only about 3-4h of work per day and had the entire rest of the day to relax or explore. The guests and other volunteers were super friendly and we'd sometimes get ice cream and go to the beach to hangout and drink after dinner. Serxho is an amazing host, he cooked us breakfast and a huge dinner every day, thank you!

I've heard some of my friends talk about Albania before and I thought what better way to travel there than to volunteer and help out at the same time! It was honestly such an amazing experience and the people there made it all worth it too! Serxho made dinner for us every night and it was some of the best and freshest food I've ever eaten! Would definitely recommend the hostel to anyone wanting to visit Himarë 🫶🏼

Was my first time volunteering and I couldn't ask for a better place to start. Serxho is a very kind man and he makes sure that everyone feels like they are home. You have nature all around you and it's a very peaceful place and the food Serxho cooks is delicious. I really enjoyed learning new things. I've had a very good experience here with Serxho and the other volunteer Andrea, I already miss them and I'll definitely come back. 🫶🏼
