Our stay was very enriching. We learned about gardening, Portuguese cuisine, practiced languages, met local people, and learned about Portuguese and French history and traditions. Val and Valter are very friendly people; they welcome you into their home and invite you to experience their daily life and new adventures. We love Val's food—delicious recipes with a great variety. We are very grateful for the experience and the beautiful sunsets. A very peaceful place, surrounded by nature, and disconnected from the city.

It was my first experience as a volunteer and I loved it, from day one to last one. Valter and Valerie are very kind and interesting people with lots of stories. I learned a lot about the culture and history of Portugal. They also taught me many things about gardening, farming and self sustainability. The work was quite easy, it was more like giving a hand than working. Moreover, the Algarve is really beautiful region to visit during your days off.

Volunteering in Cortinhola was my first volunteer job and I can summarise my stay there in one word- AMAZING! From the arrival to the airport, where they were waiting for me, to the end, when they took me back to airport. From the first day I felt like at my own home. Valter is really kind, he is full of his amazing stories from his very interesting life, he also taught me a lot new things as history of Portugal and a lot of practical things! Filipa is real mother, she cooks very very well, she always wanted me feel good, like a Valter did. I hope they are at least half as happy as I am. Ty!
