The Experience

Welcome to our project, a boutique retreat run by a family in the beautiful Perhentian Islands of Malaysia. Situated between the lush jungle and the crystalline sea, our retreat offers a unique experience for travellers in search of tranquillity and natural beauty. We operate nine guest villas, a cocktail bar and a small restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner, providing a warm and relaxing atmosphere for our visitors.

Our experience in the guest house was amazing. Instantly we felt like home and Erica and Kieran were the nicest people, always take care of us. We loved the job as a bartender, we could talk a lot with other travellers and the locals and in our free time we enjoyed diving and snorkeling. We recommend this experience to everyone who loves the nature or spend time in the water, meanwhile meeting and talking with new people.

The guest house is a magical place to be. It was my first Worldpackers experience and couldn't ask for any better. The team and the owners are absolutely wonderful! They make sure that you feel like a part of the family since day one. The work is great. You have most of the day for yourself to enjoy the Island and then shake some cocktails with the sunset view. I can highly recommend it to people that enjoy water activities like snorkeling or diving. It's a beautiful place to do all of those and more.

My time at the guest house was nothing short of amazing. Erica and Atord welcomed me and made this place like a second home. I also had the great pleasure of getting to know Inis and diving with Kieran! I can wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone and I really think the more you put into talking to the guests and getting to know the island the more you get out of it. Met some wonderful people and have made some great memories. The work is genuinely fun and in such a breathtaking setting. It is such a great opportunity to pick up a new skill or develop one you already have!

This is the ultimate Worldpacker experience. As a family business, they open their house's door and make you feel welcome! You'll learn how to make cocktails and work in a bar by the sea. It is the perfect balance between work and free time. The time in the bar doesn't feel like work at all, especially if you enjoy meeting other people. The staff is very kind and will look after you. The support from everyone made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. If you like to have an island experience, make your playlist and bring your good vibes here! ✨

I spent two fantastic weeks at the guest house, Erica and her family welcomed me as a son. Although I had never had experience as a bartender, I was taught everything I needed to be autonomous to manage the bar. I recommend this experience to all those who want to experience the relaxation and beauty of perhentian islands, learning every day something new about the island, its people and wildlife.
