The Experience

We are an organic farm with a permaculture vision we have superb century-old olive trees and we harvest the olives by hand, it is not intensive cultivation and no chemicals are used, therefore completely sustainable . The picking is done in a spirit of good humor 5 hours a day for 5 days a week, the rest of the time is free with the possibility of walking or cycling, tourisme, yoga classes, meal preparation with our organic vegetables .

We had a great experience in the project. It was wonderful working on the land that provided us with its fruits for food. We helped with harvesting olives and cutting the trees. Tough work, but satisfying. Juliano and Jorge, who work their permanently, are fun to be with, and we could always laugh together. At night we always prepared dinner together and enjoyed the delicious vegetables from the garden. Brigitte and Francois are kind people with a lot of respect and love for the land and animals they take care of. I am grateful to have gotten to know the project and its people.

The experience in the project was amazing! the project is a beautiful place in the countryside, full of olive trees and beautiful views. They grow their own vegetables and fruits and everyday we had delicious food prepared with all of them. Brigitte is a great host, really warm and kind, and working with Juliano and Jorge make it so fun and easy, they are the best!! Definetely we recommend to other volunteers to come to the project! It was a pleasure spending time at the project. The energy there is incredible, and the hosts and staff are wonderful people. I learned a lot about the local culture, as well as about Switzerland, Africa, and Brazil. I tried new things, really enjoyed my stay, and hope to return someday.
