Hello, my name is Gihan, and just a few months ago ,I made my dream come true by opening my own hostel in Ella. Through the hostel, I aim to create a relaxed, family-feel and social environment, giving our guests amazing memories from their travels! Since opening, our hostel has become a popular destination and I'm proud to say that we were recently recognised as the Best New Hostel in Asia. I can't wait for you to be part of the team!

From the first day Gihan became a close friend and it's been a great time here. He's very flexible and chilled out, but also loves a lil party too! You can kinda make whatever you want out of the role :) The other staff and guests are also great - I ended up staying a month and considered longer if it weren't for my visa! I know I have made a friend for life in Gihan and would recommend for anyone!

I had the best time volunteering in thethethethe hostel. Gihan has created such an amazingthethe hostel, the atmosphere is amazing, always friendly and familiar. It's a beautiful place to stay. Moreover Gihan is one of the funniest person I know. He always takes care of you, you can ask him literally a million questions and he will answer them all. He is so helpful to all the guest but also to me as volunteer. The work is easy and flexible. If you like to socialize it will feel like vacation for you to volunteer here. Thethethe the hostelbed are so comfy and breakfast is delicious. Thanks for the great time!

I had the BEST experience! Gihan is the friendliest host and everyone who stayed at thethethe the hostelwould agree! I was with another volunteer at the time which meant my role was VERY flexible! I helped with check ins, interacted with guests, went out on activities, filmed for their social media and helped organise plans in the evening! I did have so much free time but I often choose to be around thethethe the hosteland people anyways as I loved it so much. Thisthethe the hostelcreates a family environment that it felt like hanging out with my friends for 10 days! I will 100% be back one day! ❤️
