The Experience
Hey :) We're a vegetarian non- smoking, non drinking, calm naturists family of 7 (5 chidren, age 10-27) looking for help with animal care, upkeep and improve our animal sanctuary. We're looking for someone responsible, organised, caring, honest, flexible, energetic, hands-on, creative, capable to do hard/dirty manual work. Our farm is located in a beautiful, natural, quiet surrounding, just 13 km from the centre of the capital, Ljubljana.

Ales and Iris
A nice place with a lot of people and work. There is something for everybody to do, as the list of tasks is long. The hosts really try to make their guests feel comortableand welcome. If there are any issues, they are always willing to talk about it. They have a lot going on in their lives, sometimes they are very short on time or energy but still try to not forget about their volunteers. All in all recommended.

My stay at the shelter was awesome! The family is a great host, all of them are very kind, respectful and easy to work with. Communication was good, I was asked multiple times if I'm okay and have everything I need. I had my own room which was very comfortable. I mostly helped around the animals, cleaning and feeding them, for me it was very fun and sometimes challanging, I learnt a lot about them. I enjoyed the daily vegan lunches so much! They are happy to help with anything, I was recommended a lot of different places to visit in my free time. I would go back any time! Hvala

Hi, I had an amazing four weeks with Iris, her husband and their five kids (who were awesome and very sweet). I worked six hours a day and slept in a comfortable camper amongst other campers. Most of the time I took care of the animals and worked in the garden. In my free time I enjoyed the surrounding nature, which was beautiful. I listened to and made music, read a book, sat by the fireplace and explored parts of Slovenia by bus/train. The thing that could make this place even greater, would be to be more open minded and really listen to one another. This'll create a finer atmosphere 💖
