The Experience

We are a traditional and peaceful Guest House within the center of the busy Medina of Fez, Morocco. Our rooftop has an outstanding view of the entire city and is a great place to relax in your free time. We are in a great location and you can explore the markets or get freshly made food just outside the front door. It is simple help and if you are a friendly and kind person, I encourage you to message me!

Our time at Dar the guest house was simply wonderful, we felt welcomed since the very begining. Rashid, Mohammed, Hannah and Nadia made us feel as part or their family. Working hours are respected and tasks are easy, mainly serving breakfast in the morning or doing cleaning when there are no guests in the house. The only downside that we can mention is that communication can be tricky sometimes if you don't speak Arabic and the working hours were not clear some days. Overall, this was a great volunteering experience that we would definetely recommend. Shukran bzzaf, we will miss you <3

I stayed one week here in the end and loved getting to meet some of the locals while staying at this Dar in the middle of the madina. It's a great location. The hard part for me was the lack of communication. I didn't feel very welcomed by the host from the time I arrived, although I understand she said she didn't feel well and was busy. But those who were working there were very kind to me. The job duties weren't very clear and seemed to always change. I think this could be a good opportunity for someone but this fit was not great for me.
