What you offer

The Experience
Come to our family helping our guests to experience the real culture of the hostel because the hostel is not a simple accommodation but a group of travelers! When a volunteer chooses us they will have the opportunity to learn new skills, language, learn about our little city island & also get to explore with free tours we do for our guests from the hostel. Also they will have plenty of free time to explore & have fun themselves.

- Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

I had fun! The location is very good, and the hostel soooo beautiful!!! People were very nice, the host is very nice and helpful. I agree with previous volunteer about the work. It wasn't what i applied for, but it was nothing hard. I did the cleaning of the hostel nothing to detailed, on my own terms when it comes to working hours. I made breaks when i wanted and cleaned when i felt is the best for me. It took me max of 4 hours if not less to finish everything, so i would say that it is pretty flexible. The guests of the hostel are also nice people so i didn't have bad experiences with anyone.

The hosts were very friendly and made me feel welcome, however, upon arrival the project had changed entirely from what I had agreed to online. I had agreed to 4 hours of bar work, 5 nights a week, in the evening, with 2 days off a week and 3 meals a day provided. When I arrived I was told the bar was closed so I'd be cleaning the whole hostel alone every day, in the middle of the day, only 2 days off for the whole time I was there, and no food provided. I did continue for 11 days, but after returning after my one day off to find nobody had cleaned I felt taken advantage of. It's also lonely.
