My stay at the hostel was a chaotic. I was meant to stay at Aldeia I, but this was not communicated to me well, even though I asked the hosts. My tasks shifted from cleaning to check-ins, which was tough since this required me to speak more Portuguese & the owner also only spoke Portuguese. I asked to move to Aldeia I, but the owner forgot to ask the other hostel. I improved my Portuguese and appreciated Dona Val & Angela's support, & tasks were light. But overall organization needs work—especially communication& free day scheduling. Also I stayed until 27th but this was not changed in my prof

Valda and Iago welcomed us warmly. I was a second time volunteer and inexperienced, but they were kind enough to guide me. Also, other volunteers are friendly. It is recommended!

This was my first volunteer experience and it was amazing! Manus is an amazing city, the hostel has an excellent location and is close to interesting places (museums, restaurants, theaters, parks) Valda was an excellent host, she taught me how to clean and organize the hostel, she also taught me about the importance of cleanliness in a hostel. My fellow volunteers were excellent, they are now my friends and also I was able to make friends with several guests who stayed there. All the requirements were met and the stay at the hostel exceeded my expectations, it was a home for me! Love it!!
