This was my very first time volunteering for a program so there was a bit of anxiety as i was travelling alone as well. As soon as i started i felt like i was apart of the team, Lucy gave a good breakdown of the history regarding the program and the children's stories. the tasks given were straightforward and fun to do with the children! i felt like i was right at home. The children have the cutest personalities which made the job fun! I felt so supported by Lucy she is amazing and would HIGHLY recommend volunteering at the host as it is such a great learning experience .

You need to be fairly strong and grounded before starting something like this. Where children (in the NL) receive a lot of love, interaction and communication, things are quite different at this orphanage. There's less physical affection. Even when one of the kids cries, it's not always met with compassion. I did four weeks of volunteer work, and in the last two weeks I saw a lot of positive changes! The kids got to know us better and the staff as well. They seemed more open toward us, which made me enjoy going to the orphanage more. I did what I could do and Im happy that I could help!

I am so grateful for this volunteering experience with babies in the host. I helped care for children aged 1 to 3 — playing, comforting, and simply being present. They also showed me how happy you can be with so little — a smile, a cuddle, a simple game. Their joy is contagious, and their love, unconditional. The local team was welcoming, and I felt that my presence truly mattered. This experience filled my heart in ways I didn't expect. Highly recommended to anyone with love and care to give.

Volunteering at the host for 2 months was truly a life-changing experience. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with kindness, not just by the staff, but by the beautiful children who instantly captured my heart. Lucy's dedication, love, and care for the children is nothing short of inspiring. The children are so full of joy, curiosity, and affection. They are truly the heart and soul of the home. I'm forever grateful to have been a part of such a beautiful place. I really recommend the host . It's a place that stays with you.

Volunteering at the host was a beautiful and emotional experience. I cared for children aged 1 to 3, who brought endless love and joy every day. The team is kind, dedicated, and truly focused on the well-being of the kids. Some moments were emotionally challenging, but the connections made and the impact felt were more than worth it — I'd do it all again without hesitation. The project is growing with heart, and if you're ready to adapt and give your time with care, it's a beautiful and meaningful opportunity. Thank you Lucy for your incredible work and kindness! 🥰

Having spent a month at the host, I can truly say that this is the most eye opening experience. Some aspects I found emotionally challenging, but the children are unbelievably wholesome, and the other volunteers are easily some of the kindest people I've ever met. I cannot wait to go back and reconnect with the kids!

I had a fantastic time at the host! It's an amazing opportunity to connect to locals and make a true impact in the life's of the babies! Communication with some of the people who work there can be hard sometimes but there are just as many lovely people who will truly care about you and welcome you with open arms into the host Family. Lucie is an amazing host and you can tell that she actually cares about the Babies with all her heart. After a month of volunteering I fell in love with the host and will be back 100%

It has been tough, but it was worth the experience. Remember, you are there for the babies. I suggest staying in Ubud, even if it takes a little bit of time

It was so wholesome to be able to make an impact on the babies lives during the time I was there. I plan to go back to the host at some point in the near future!
