I stayed at the project in Kathmandu for two weeks. Tenzing was a wonderful host, and I felt at home from the very beginning. The children were incredibly sweet, and I helped them with homework, mainly in English and math, as well as spending time playing games and doing other activities. Helping them with their homework never felt like a chore; it felt more like spending meaningful time together. I also had the chance to take classes in Buddhist philosophy and meditation, which was very valuable to me and my experience. Overall, a wonderful volunteering experience!

I had such an amazing 4 weeks here. Tenzing is a fantastic host - really went above and beyond to answer all my many questions, introduce me to local life, and set me up to take Buddhism courses. I took 4 courses (2 at the monastery with the kindest monks and 2 taught by Tenzing): yoga, meditation, mantras, philosophy. It felt like living with a family here, and I loved spending time with the six children. I taught English to the kids after school and also spent a lot of time playing and talking with them. I feel lucky to have gotten a very local and special experience.

I volenteered at the project for 9 weeks and it was an incredible experience. Tenzing is super nice and open for any questions. He really goes out of his way to make your stay a pleasant one. With the jewellery business he provides an opportunity for women to earn money to pay for school fees. The six children steal your heart in a matter of seconds. I looked after the them after school. We played games, danced and practised English. I took four buddhist courses in philosophy, mantras, yoga and meditation at the monastery and at home. I really hope to come back in the future!

Overall my experience was life changing. Unfortunately during my stay the monastery didn't require volunteers to teach English, but my experience turned out better than expected. I had the lucky opportunity of volunteering at the project! Connecting with children's and supporting development of their English was rewarding. Also Tenzing was a fantastic host, very hospitable and did everything to integrate myself into the beautiful culture! I felt very comfortable! I also received a few Buddhist lessons which were amazing! Thank you Tenzing and I hope to see you soon!

I stayed with Tenzing and 6 sweet children at the project for two weeks. The children stole my heart and Tenzing was extremely kind, teaching me Buddhist philosophy and meditation every morning. I initially went to teach others, but ended up being the one who learned. I felt extremely welcomed and cared for in a safe and homely environment. We did many activities such as celebrating the Tibetan new year with the children and visiting the monastery, which was its own immersive experience. Thank you for everything
