Volunteering at GCH was such a great experience! The staff and other volunteers make everyone feel super welcomed and included. The work is as described with a variety of shifts and tasks so it doesn't get repititive and the tasks are outlined clearly. There is plenty of time to explore the city and surroundings, the hotel is super well located and the bikes make it easy to get around. The private wagons are very homely, theres also heaps of oppurtunities to socialise with the staff, volunteers and guests. The hotel is a very special place for everyone there and I'm keen to come back :).

The hotel is like an oasis mid in the city! A calm and green place with short distances to reach the city center and nice places for swimming. Since the volunteers live in their own waggons, it`s up to you how much you wanna socialize. I really liked the team spirit. We often hung around together and organized little events. The hosts Valle and Barry often prepared additional meals for the crew and seemed very interested to get in touch. The work is not extremely varied, but mostly easy-going and sometimes even a bit meditative (laundry was my favorite :).

Such a fun place to meet other travelers as well as locals. The staff is extremely kind and truly prioritizes the volunteers' experience. Work is as described, five hours a day with two days off each week. But there is always someone around to help answer any questions. Would love to come back!

The staff is like a big family and they make you feel included since day one. They are always eager to help and give the best recommendations. The job is quite easy and the hours are reasonable, giving you a lot of time to enjoy your day and explore the city. the hotel is well located and getting around is super easy This place felt like a piece of home.
